Day 1 : Marrakech – Essaouira
After breakfast we visit the town of Essaouira, formerly known as Mogador and now UNESCO World Heritage Site. We visit the harbor where fishing boats moor and the fish is sold on the spot, mostly sardines, and the city walls. The old medina with its souks of spices and precious stones, the “Scala” (view of the harbor) and the Jewish quarter is well worth a visit. On the beach there are several possibilities such as a camelride or quad. The local restaurants serve fresh fish. The charm of this city you will discover by walking through the old Portuguese streets of the medina. Overnight in hotel.
Day 2 : Essaouira – Agadir – Marrakech
After breakfast we drive to Agadir. During the ride there is a variety of landscapes. Argan trees are scattered across the mountains and herds of goats climb into those trees to feed. In Agadir, situated in a bay of golden beaches, there is free time to visit the city. The medina and the souk is worth a visit. The Kasbah was built in 1540 to protect the city against the Portuguese. You have a wonderful view over the city, the harbor and the ocean. In the heart of the city is Vallée des Oiseaux, a zoo with many birds. Late in the afternoon we return to Marrakech
