4×4 Tour Ouarzazate to Merzouga


In the morning we cross the road of the thousand Kasbahs to the palmgardens of Skoura where we visit the Kasbah Amredhyle, which still belongs to a sheik. We continue to Kelaa M’Gouna through the valley of the roses and visit the Kasbah of Ait Youl in the Dades valley. We drive to the Gorges du Dades andl unch in a typical restaurant. After lunch we return to the Dades valley, then up to Boumalne and Tinghir where the stunning Todra Gorge is located. We walk through the gorge and overnight in a nice hotel.


After breakfast we take a walk in the beautiful palm gardens of Tinghir. Then we drive to Tinjdad to visit its palmgardens and where we have lunch at Lkharbat with our friend Ahmed le Berber. We drive along the palmgardens of Touroug to Erfoud, where we visit the workshops of marble and fossils. We follow the trail to the impressive dunes of Merzouga : Erg Chebbi. The camelsare ready and bring us into the dunes. We may not miss the sunset. We spend the night in Berber tents and enjoy a delicious meal.


We are welcomed by the rising sun. After breakfast the camels bring us back to the Auberge and we jump back into our 4X4 to Rissani that is to be considered as the capital of the old sultans Alawites. We drive through the vast forests of palms of Tafilat. In Alnif lunch is served. We drive through the oases of Tazarine and N’Kob and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Draa valley to the Berber village of Agdz and drive over the Ait Saoun pass with an altitude of 1660m. At the end of the day we reach Ouarzazate
